Medina ISD welcomes Lindsey Kunz as new Secondary Principal

          The Board of Trustees unanimously voted to select Lindsey Kunz in the Leadership Role as Secondary Principal at Medina ISD at the monthly board meeting on May 23, 2018. Mrs. Kunz is a fifteen year veteran teacher that brings great leadership skills and administrative qualities that the board was looking for in the next leader at the secondary campus.

          Mrs. Kunz has spent the last eleven years at Brackett ISD in several leadership roles as well as a long tenure as a secondary teacher. She has also spent time in Lexington, George West and Freer where she was in an athletic administrative role. Lindsey is a great leader who has strong academic and disciplinary values as well as high expectations for the students according to Kevin Newsom, Superintendent at Medina ISD. “She fits the model of leadership that the Board of Trustees was looking for,” he stated.

          Lindsey is married to David Kunz and they have two children; Hallie will begin sixth grade and JT will begin third grade here at Medina ISD. Mrs. Kunz grew up attending small schools in Comstock and graduated from Brackett ISD. All of her professional career has been spent serving students in small districts and according to Mrs. Kunz, the position at Medina ISD is a great fit for her career and a great fit for her family as well.

          Mrs. Kunz’s first day at Medina Secondary will be July 1, 2018.
